About Me

Hi, I’m Monette Punzalan. I am a UX Designer based in Los Angeles who has always loved to find solutions that can improve products and make them more pleasing.

With a background in Web and Database design I could create functional websites and programs – but I needed to present them better. So I studied graphic design to give my creations harmony and personality.

Eventually, I found my designs did not have enough value for users to return. By practicing UX Design, I learned about the practical advantages of getting user input throughout the process instead of at the end.

Now I am looking for a full-time position where I can apply my broad set of skills to make interactive products that go above and beyond the project brief so they are not only functional but are also pleasurable and innovative.

Even more about me

I grew up near Baltimore, Maryland before moving to Evanston, Illinois to attend Northwestern University. I spent several years in Boston, Massachusetts before ditching my winter coat and the numerous layers of long underwear to drive out to sunny Los Angeles, California.

I enjoy cooking kitchen sink recipes for myself and complicated recipes for others, listening to pop-culture podcasts, and dancing like nobody is watching.
