"The graphic designer’s whole job is to communicate something – to get an idea from their brain to somebody else’s gray matter.  They’re about visual literacy.  You could say that architects do exactly the opposite.  Most tend to enshroud themselves in an obfuscation of ideas, a declarification of reality.  They communicate in an arcane language that protects their sense of ownership of a thing.  It’s arrogant, it’s a big mistake, and I resent it.  I like making an impact on people that has richer depth than surprise of shock.”
