Oakley has a broad range of sunglasses with each model tailored for a specific sport, so I had to figure out a message that could be applied to all of them.
I based the copy on the idea that these sunglasses are like shields. Whether you need protection from sun, snow, or velocity, Oakley will protect you. The Oakley website had many stories of hard-core athletes who claimed the products saved their eyes.
To stand out against other sports-based ads, I drew out the featured athletes are in mid-action. The loose sketches allow the user to focus on the photographed sunglasses in each ad.
